Mumbai: In the first major action against the former Interior Minister Anil Deshmukh, the Ed, investigating the case of money laundering, has attached its assets – Flat Worli and land in Uran-collectively worth Rs 4.2 Crore at the purchase value.

This flat on behalf of Deshmukh’s wife, Aarti, and 25 land parcels in Uran Taluka, worth RS 2.67 Crore, named Premier Port Links Pvt Ltd TOI is the first to report that the control of the Dishmukh family of the Premier Port Link company has bought land from villagers in the year 2004, mostly by paying cash.
The Ed Probe followed the allegation that Deshmukh had asked the assistant assistant assistant police officer, Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 Crore from bar owners every month.
Ed has also found a trace where polluted money (4.7 crore) was diverted through a series of transactions that were questioned before being shown as a donation for trust in Dishmukh.
