Mumbai: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Wednesday’s early Wednesday arrested former Minister of Revenue Eknath Khadse Daughter-in-law, Girish Chaudhari in the case of money laundering associated with Tanah Pune transactions.
Ed called him to be questioned on Tuesday and after several hours questioned until the end of Tuesday, they decided to arrest him in this case when he refused to give some important details.
Khadse was also accused of in this case.
In January, Ed had recorded Khadse’s statement in this case.
In 2016, the guess that when Khadse was a revenue minister at Devendra Fadnivis leading the Sena BJP-Shiv government, he has abused his position by influencing government officials to buy 3.1 hectares of MIDC plots in Bhosari in Pune at the price of Rs 3.75 Crore.

Last year, he joined NCP.
The plot initially belonged to Abbas Ukani from whom MIDC had obtained it in 1971, although the issue of compensation to Abbas Elasis remains a dispute in court.
Khadse took personal interest in holding revenue meetings, land and land acquisition officials on April 12, 2016, and directed them to make quick decisions about whether to return the land to UNANIS or give them higher compensation under the right right.
Compensation and transparency are fair in land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement.
Two weeks later, UNANIS executed sales deed after wife and son-in-law Khadse.
Builder filed a complaint against Khadse to adopt corruption practices in land transactions and after controversy, he had resigned from the position of minister.
In 2017, in the direction of the Bombay High Court, the Anti-Corruption Bureau Maharashtra (ACB) has registered the FIR against Khadse, his wife Mandakini and Daughter-in-law Girish Chaudhari in land.
ACB posted them under the prevention of corruption laws for criminal violations by civil servants to benefit money.
Previously, Khadse stated that the state ACB and the income tax department did not find irregularities in transactions.
After that, based on the ACB case, ED also registered money laundering cases for inquiry.
Khadse has a difference with senior BJP leaders in the state for a long time.
Khadse left the party in 2020 and joined NCP.
