Mumbai: After a few hours of questioning until Tuesday, the initial red on Wednesday arrested Girish Chaudhari, son-in-law of the former State Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse, in the case of money laundering associated with the MIDC Department in Pune, Report Vijay V Singh and Rebecca Samervel.
Chaudhari was produced before the PMLA court, which stopped him in detention ED until July 12.
Meanwhile, Ed called Khadse for further statement on Thursday.
It has recorded his previous statement in January.
The Edge Case was based on the country’s anti-corruption bureau that had accused Khadse, his wife Mandakini, Chaudhri and One Abbas Ukani to get the Mid plot land in Bhosari, Pune District, and caused a loss of Rs 61.25 Crore to the government with a cheat work of sales.
The Ed Probe shows Chaudhari, in Convance with other people, signing a sales certificate to utilize compensation of more than 2.5-3 times the actual value of the ground.
The land initially belonged to Urani and was reserved for MIDC.
There is a legal dispute between UNANI and the government for compensation to surrender land.
During the investigation, it was found that Chaudhari claimed the source of funds to buy property as a loan from several companies.
However, these funds are plated and transferred through a shell company, which is dysfunctional or no longer there today, Ed Said.In Chaudhari’s Remand Applications, Ed said that the land was acquired by MIDC and there were various industries in the plot.
So it’s impossible to execute sales certificates with the original owner of Ukani in April 2016 for Rs 3.75 Crore.
Alleged Ed Khadse and the others made changes and illegal changes in the government’s record to carry out an agreement.
Allegedly Khadse has misused the post of ministers in 2016.
Furthermore Khadse as Minister of Revenue in the BJP-Sena government, emphasized his ministry to obtain land from his relatives after paying RS 61 Crore compensation.
The previous sub-registrar had given a plot value as Rs 31 Crore, but Khadse forced government officials to reduce the market value of the plot to Rs 3.75 Crore on government records, said Ed.
This creates controversy before payment of compensation, and then Khadse was forced to resign from the post.
Khadse now with NCP.
Advocate Chaudhari Mohan Tekavde opposed the buyer’s buyer and said he had worked with an investigation.
“Girish Chaudhari is only targeted because he is the son-in-law of Khadse.
He was not involved.
There was no evidence to show that the loss of Rs 61 Crore was caused by Extequer because Ed had claimed.
Furthermore, it has not been proven that the land disputed owned by MIDC,” Tekavde said.
In his previous statement to Ed, Khadse has denied knowledge about land agreements after stating that it was carried out by his wife and daughter-in-law.
In this statement to Ed, Chaudhari said that he, together with mother-in-law, had bought land from Ukani and he found a plot through a local agent.
But Chaudhari refused to provide details of local agents, claiming ED officials.
Chaudhari further told ED officials that he realized the land was provided for MIDC, but he was advised that no need to take the NOC from MIDC.
Chaudhari told the officials who he lifted loan Rs 2 Crore from Benchmark Buildcon Pvt Ltd because of the President Director of Om Prakash, it was known since 2003.
But Chaudhari refused to provide the details of Om Prakash, said Ed in the REMAND application.
The next application adds that Benchmark Buildcon Pvt Ltd is a Shell company, he received money from five other striking companies that were immediately transferred to Chaudhari to buy a plot.
