Mumbai: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) on Saturday conducted a search at Hotel Nagpur as part of his investigation in a case of alleged corruption in the former Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh.
Deshmukh was examined by Ed in a case of alleged extortion from the orchestra bar in the state.
Ed had published a call to 71-year-old NCP leader and his son Hrishikesh Deshmukh looked for their appearance.
The attached asset includes a flat value of RS 1,54 Crores housing in Mumbai’s Worli and 25 fields of land amounting to Rs 2.67 Crores in Dhutum villages in Uran Maharashtra Regency Raigarh.
Ed had alleged that Rs 4.7 Crore was collected from the orchestra bar by firing Cop Sachin Waze, allegedly in Instruction Deshmukh, transferred to the education trust of the former minister based in Nagpur by his son, who directed him through two Hawala operators and showed it as a donation.
Deshmukh is President of Trust and his two sons, Salil and Hrishikesh, are Waliya.
Previously, Ed had raided Deshmukh’s residence in Nagpur and Mumbai.
Raids are carried out in five places.
