NEW DELHI: AAM AADMI National Convener and Chair of the Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the source had told him that the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) was likely to arrest his cabinet colleague, Satyendar Jain, right in front of the election of the Punjab Assembly next month.
“We have known through our sources that the BJP Government (in the center) forced Ed to arrest Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain before the election of Punjab.
They tried to flick in false and imaginary accusations so that they could hurt the chances of AAP,” Kejriwal allegedly during the direction digital press.
“As a party and as a family, we only have one thing to say – you are all accepted; we are waiting for you with open arms,” he said.
“This center has carried out an evil attack on Jain twice before this too.
They could not find a one-cent valued mistake at that time,” he said.
“This conspiracy is being hatched during the summit of elections, so there will be no raid.
Maybe, there will be an arrest too.
We are also not afraid of it,” he said.
“Actually, we will beg BJP, send CBI, the Income Tax Department, and Delhi police to prey on us too.
Why only capture satyendar Jain, advance and catch as much as possible from us as you want,” he said.
“Be me, Manish Sisodia or Jain, we all face attacks out of political vendetta,” he said, adding that 21 MLA AAP was arrested.
“But in the end, the court was ridiculed by BJP and rubbed the allegations,” he said, adding that if Jain was sent to prison, he would come out with a guarantee within 5-10 days and the central agency would have no evidence to show.
Talking about the recent raids in Punjab CM nephew Chararjit Singh Channi, Kejriwal said AAP would not be confused.
“He has made a spectacle from the attack done to his relatives because he knew he was wrong there.
Everything, now, has seen the mountains of cash, he sat down,” he said.
“We know we don’t make mistakes.
We have seen this attack beforehand,” he said.
There was no direct reaction to the statement from Ed, which questioned Jain in 2018 in the case of money laundering based on CBI complaints that accused that the Minister could not explain the source of funds received by four companies where he was a shareholder.
The opposition leader at Delhi Ramvir Assembly Singh Bidhuri said the Kejriwal ‘political tactic’ statement and claimed he tried to play the ‘sympathy card’.
Bidhuri accused that while Kejriwal accused the central institution following the central instruction, he also applauded when the same institution invaded the other main minister’s aide.
