Yavatmal: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday invaded five companies related to members of Lok Sabha Shiv Sena from Washim-Yavatmal Bhavana Gawali.
Raids reportedly conducted a complaint by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya who accused the deviation to the RS100 Crore song by Gawali.
The company raided included Utarsha Prolythan, Factory Particle Board Co-Op Balaji in Vegeta in Risod Tehsil from the Wasim District, BMS College and two other institutions.
End Raids Ed as a vengeful, Gawali said it was an effort to slander.
“The BJP government in the center targets Sena Shiv leaders who raise votes to their policies,” he said.
Sena MP also demanded that ED action on BJP MLA from Karanja Rajendra Patni, who was accused of being a land shark.
Gawali claimed he had filed a complaint against Patni for gathering the wealth of RS500 Crore through land grabbing.
“The Maharashtra government has started an investigation,” he said.
“Ed was used by BJP as a tool to harass the opposition leaders.
They target Sena MP Sanjay Raut, notice has been served at the Minister of Transportation Anil Puriab and now my company has been raided,” said Gawali.
“My company includes educational institutions and how this can be raided without notice.
Whatever I have is my ancestral property, unlike Patni, which is a known landowner,” said Gawali.
A few days ago, Somaiya claimed that supporters had thrown stones and ink in her car at Risod when he wanted to visit the factory there.
