Mumbai: Acting on specific information, the Ed team flew to Nagpur for a secret operation and stormed the residence of the former Minister of Home Anil Deshmukh in two places in the district on Sunday.
Both Desehmukh and his family were not found at his home in Katol or his ancestral home in Vadvihira, the two places were raided.
Deshmukh is MLA NCP from Katol, and many party politicians stand outside the premise raided there in a support for support.
Similar support was seen in Vadvihir’s house and his Nagpur.
So far, Ed has published three calls to Deshmukh and his son Hrishikesh, asked them to appear in his zally office in South Mumbai for their statement in this case, but Father and Children both quoted various reasons to avoid appearance.
Ed also issued a call last week for Deshmukh Aarti’s wife, who quoted health and old age to avoid appearing before ED.
Last week, in the first major action in this case, Ed attached Deshmukh’s assets, a flat in Worli here and landed in the collectively worth RS 4.2 Crore, passed with the purchase value.
Flat Worli was worth Rs 1.54 Crore and on behalf of Deshmukh’s wife.
25 Fields of land in Uran Taluka from Raigad District has a purchase price of 2006 RS 2.67 Crore and named Premier Port Links Pvt Ltd, a company where the sons of Deshmukh, Hrishikesh and Salil, have controlled pegs.
The source said the market value of the land of the land of Uran was more than RS 300 Crore.
ED sources said that because they had not traced Deshmukh’s money which was allegedly collected from assistant assistant assistant police inspector Sachin aborted his personal staff, they had attached a similar nature.
Ed was investigating the washing case against Deshmukh following the guess that he had asked Waze to squeeze Rs 100 Crore from the bar owner every month.
