Ed Searches Wardha Road Hotel in the case of Deshmukh

Nagpur: Special Team of the Office of the Mumbai Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched a private hotel outside the Wardha Road in connection with the alleged money laundering case against former Minister of Deshmukh’s house minister on Saturday.
Hotel ownership is studied to connect to Deshmukh.
The Ed team has conducted a back-to-back search on the property owned or managed by Deshmukh and his family.
A day ago, Ed had searched the office belonging to the Deshmukh family from the Amal Organization of Shri Sai Sikshan Samity (SSSS) in Fetri near the Kalmeshwar and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Mahurjhari.
The Ed team, who collects substantial records and documents, is likely to continue more searches in and around the city in the coming days.
Ed so far more than a dozen searches related to alleged money laundering and extortion by Dishmukh through police channels from pubs, bars and restaurants in Mumbai.
So far, nearly 35-40 premises have been sought in Mumbai, Nagpur and other places.
Ed, who repeatedly served a call to Deshmukh, is on the path of money to dig a channel through which large amounts of pumped into various businesses and organizations owned by former home ministers, family and colleagues.
During various custodian investigations, it was studied that Deshmukh and his family had distributed Rs 4.78 Crore collected from the bar and pub in Mumbai to various businesses spread throughout the state and outside.
