New Delhi / Kolkata: The enforcement directorate has summoned nephews Trinamool Congress Congress and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, and his wife Rujira to join the investigation in RS 1,300 crore money laundering fraud.
Abhishek, a MP Lok Sabha MP and the TMC National Secretary General, has been asked to appear to be questioned on September 6 while his wife has been called on 1.
Some other nearby Abhishek colleagues have also been called, despite strict ED sources.

Vinay Mishra, a colleague near Abhishek at the TMC youth wing, who allegedly played a role in regulating ‘crime’ from illegal coal mining in the state, had fled to Vanuatu and left his Indian citizenship to escape the agents who investigate fraud .

The call aroused a strong response from CM Bengal which described it as an effort by BJP to “bulldoze and intimidating” them.

In the detention application before the Special Court here, the agency has claimed that the officers were involved in collecting countless cash from local coal mafia colleagues, Anup Majhi.

Coal Mafia Majhi is the main suspect in RS 1,300 crore money laundering fraud but the agency has been detained by the Supreme Court from taking the “coercive” action against it.
Overcoming the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad worker in Kolkata, Mamata called the “Devil” central government and “inhumane”.
Abhishek said he and TMC would meet direct challenges.
“Looking for us will not help.
We will go to every state where BJP has hampered democracy.
The fighting has begun in Tripura and Assam.
Our leader, Mamata Banerjee, has not gone to Tripura.
There will be an earthquake when he stuck there, “He said.
