Mumbai: Former Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh and his son has issued a new call letter by the Enforcement Directorate to emerge next week in the case of money laundering towards them, officials said on Saturday.
This is the third notification issued for NCP leaders for deposits before the investigation officer of this case, they said.
Deshmukh has been asked to record his statement at the central agency office in South Mumbai on Monday.
His son Hrishikesh Deshmukh has also been issued a call to appear the next day on July 6.
The agency was allegedly in court documents that Hrishikesh “cared for” Hawala transactions to convert accuse white money by route they became the education of trust run by Deshmukh, through several shell companies intended.
Deshmukh (72), has missed two previous calls quoting his “vulnerability” to Covid-19 as a reason for non-compliance in his last communication to the Agency.
