Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will interrogate official police officers Sachin Vazze in Taloja Prison in connection with the alleged corruption case submitted against former Minister of State House Anil Deshmukh, officials said on Friday.
The special court has given permission to ED to visit Vazze and record his statement in prison.
Maybe remember that on May 19, Vazze had claimed that he had collected Rs 4.70 Crore from the bar in Mumbai between December 2020-February 2021 which was allegedly on the command of Deshmukh.
Vaze said that he then handed over the number to the former Minister of PA Kundan Shinde, who was now arrested in the same case, along with Pa Sanjeev Palande.
In its part, Ed said that Shinde has denied knowing Vaze and not working with investigations, even though he and Pallande were directly related to the crime.
Deshmukh, who was forced to stop due to allegations of him, had missed three edges of Ed recently to question and have transferred the protection of the Supreme Court to coercive actions.
Vaze was arrested in connection with sensational cases planting SUVs with 20 gelatin sticks and threats recorded near the house of Industrialis Mukesh Ambani and the next death of the owner of the Mansukh Hiran vehicle.
Then, Vaze wrote a note that accused Deshmukh has demanded Rs 2-Crore to return it in service and also set a target to collect Rs 100 Crore per month from painters and bars in Mumbai.
He also targeted the Transport Minister Shiv Sena Anil Paratab to accuse that the latter had asked to raise money from contractors for him.
Both Deshmukh and Parab have braided the allegations and referred to as the opposition strategy of the Bharatiya Janata party to slander and defame the image of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
