Bhubaneswar: Odisha topped the medal chart with the winner 51, followed by Maharashtra, 30 and Kerala, 25 winners, in the National Competition of Indiaskills 2021 held by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in New Delhi from January 7.
Odisha won 10 gold, 18 silver, nine bronze and 14 medals in the largest skill competition in the country which concluded on Monday.
Closed competition witnessed participation in 54 skills such as concrete construction work, beauty therapy, car painting, health and social care, visual merchandising, graphic design technology, welding, among others.
Of the more than 150 winners, 59 was awarded a gold medal with cash prizes of RS 1 Lakh, 73 was given a silver medal with RS 75,000 and 53 Money Prize received a bronze medal with a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
More than 50 participants won the advantage medal.

Official sources say the winner of the Nationals IndiaSkills 2021 will get the opportunity to represent the country in the Worldskills international competition to be held in Shanghai, China in October 2022.
The national competition was carried out after four regional competitions held in the East (Patna), West (Gandhinagar), North (Chandigarh) and South (Visakhapatnam) during October-December last year.
Participants for regional were chosen through competitions held at the district and state levels between August and September 2021, which recorded more than 2.5 lakh registration.
The Nationals IndiaSkills 2021 winner will undergo strict training to represent India in Shanghai Worldskills, China.
