New Delhi: East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) held a coordination meeting between countries with senior Ghaziabad officials and Gautam Buddhist Nagar authorities recently for cases of dengue fever in Delhi and several districts.
Meet aims to complete steps to control the threat of mosquitoes on the border through the cooperation of state program control officers.
It was chaired by Commissioner Edmc Vikas Anand.
Anand said that the threat of mosquitoes in the border area could only be resolved by reciprocal cooperation.
“Joint efforts in this case will reduce morbidity and mortality because of the disease transmitted through vectors.
Officers from both parties said they had received complaints from the public about irregular / incomplete coverage in many fields because there was no clear difference from the border Delhi-up borders and EDMC employees are often confused by the jurisdiction area, “the official said.
Officials further added that in the meeting, the right notification issues of the cases of dengue cross-borders that have treatments in other countries are also discussed.
After hearing the problem of both parties, the Edmc Commissioner was directed at creating a shared portal for all of these cases with access to both state program officers.
“If a country patient gets care from other countries, their details can be filled in the portal.
The details, especially the address of the patient, will be available to officers of the two countries.
Thus, insecticides can be sprayed by the authorities relating to the patient’s home to control mosquito breeding, “Edmc official said.
Officials from the National Institute of Malaria Research and the Delhi Government also attended the meeting.
