Edu Dept. for continuing housing coaching

Coimbatore: The District Education Department plans to continue coaching direct housing and jee for students of class XI and XII.
Students will be selected through a weekly test.
A special teacher team will train aspirants.
District Head Education Officer (CEO) N Geetha plans to get funding from corporations and voluntary organizations to carry out coaching.
“We plan to choose 100 students and offer special training by senior teachers,” Geetha said.
Housing training will be offered over the weekend.
The Department of District Education is in talks with several universities for space.
Housing training for government school students offered by the state government in 2018 as a private neet coaching center cannot be accessed for these students because of high costs.
The Department of School Education has been tied with a private training center to offer coaching Housing Housing across Tamil Nadu.
While the coaching took place in 2019, was stopped because of the pandemic in 2020.
Then, the training was offered online until this year.
The main education officer said the awareness among government students about Jee was very low.
A government school student from Trichy managed to reach the Institute of Indian Technology (IIT-M) this year.
“We want more students from government schools to join IITS,” Geetha told Toi.
