Ranchi: The State Education Department has begun class for government school students in Doordarshan and all Indian radio (air) with the aim of teaching the maximum number of students who face online problems.
The class destination, which starts on Monday when the school is closed due to covid-induced locking, is to provide extra choices to students other than the platform on social media networks to cover the curriculum.
Educational Secretary Rajesh Sharma said the program in Doordarshan was from 10am to 12 noon and from 1pm to 2 noon.
“The subject-wise routine has been prepared and learning material has also been provided,” he said.
The radio program was broadcast on a different subject from Jharkhand Station between 9am and 9:30 a.m.
for the morning session.
The night class will be held for 10 minutes for each subject from 5.20pm to 6pm.
The classes were broadcast from the centers in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Hazaribag and Daltonganj and from Bhagalpur in Bihar.
Sharma said, “We hope that a large number of students will benefit from the program.
Both Doordarshan and air are easily accessible throughout the state.” The Ministry of Education tends to take feedback about student involvement with Doordarshan and air program next week.
It can be stated here that the government also carries out online classes at 6,500 government schools but the presence of students under satisfaction.
The lack of smart gadgets among students and poor connectivity is the main factor for low coverage.
A senior government official said students would feel more comfortable attending classes in Doordarshan rather than on cellphones.
