Edu Institutions Shift focuses on online class mode

Mangaluru: With the arrival of the third possible third wave, the educational institution on the coast of Karnataka slowly shifted back to online mode that conducted classes.
Colleges under the University of Mangalore have decided to hold a class online on Saturday, with the introduction of weekend courts, said P s Yadapithaya, Deputy Chancellor, University of Mangalore.

The students and lecturers have mentally and physically ready to hold online class again, if the need arises.

Karnataka National Institute of Technology (NITK) Kapakal, which is now operating in online and offline mode, is also ready to hold classes in online mode completely, if there is a need.
K Umaheshwar Rao, Director, Nitk Kapaykal, told TI that currently BTECH students first and second year attended online classes.
The third year and students pursue higher studies, including MTech and Postdoctoral students, attending offline classes.
“We keep our fingers crossing about Covid situations.
All our students, including BTECH students first year, are fully vaccinated,” said Umaheshwar Rao.
Kasturba Medical College, who holds the theory class in online mode, since the pandemic hit the country, will continue with arrangements, said college Dean B unnikrishnan.
“Only practical classes and offline hospital visits.
To avoid crowding, we have reduced the size of the group to a maximum of five students,” he added.
“We plan to shift 50% of our campus strength into online mode, and the rest will be carried out offline.
The final decision will be taken on Monday.
On Saturday, all classes will be held online,” said Management Head of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru .
