New Delhi: Minister of Education and Development of Union Skills, Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday launched a booklet on a new one-year education policy (NEP) and said that education was not only a competition to obtain a degree, but it was a tool to utilize character’s knowledge and finally built the nation.
According to a statement, Pradhan and Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment of Virendra Kumar today, together launched a booklet on the new one-year education policy (NEP) – 2020 with several major initiatives of the new 2020 educational policy such as Nipun Bharat Tools and Sources Power of FLN in Diksha – Virtual School Nios – Alternative Academic Calendar NCERT – and the release of the ‘Priya’ accessibility book developed by NCERT and the Disabled Empowerment Department.

The Minister when launching Virtual School Nios said that this school is a new learning model and is an example of how to utilize technology and innovation can facilitate greater educational inclusion.
The school is its first initiative in the country that will provide a sophisticated digital learning platform through virtual and virtual lab classrooms.
He added.
Shri Pradhan also said that the NCERT alternative academic calendar has been developed to facilitate teachers and parents to assess progress in children’s learning.
Alternative academic calendars contain interesting and challenging waters plans, with reference to learning outcomes, themes, and chapters taken from the syllabus or textbook.
Speaking on that occasion Shri Virendra Kumar said that accessibility opens the door to opportunities and growth, thus, restoring the importance of creating an environment that can be accessed for everyone.
He then said that sensitive awareness and community are important fuels that encourage revolutionary changes.
The government’s commitment to promote accessibility causes the development of cum e-comic activities, titled – ‘Priya- The Accessibility Warrior’.
Shri Kumar urged the two Department of Education & Literacy of the School and the Ministry of Higher Education to take the task of creating an accessible educational infrastructure and content in mission mode, consistently developing towards inclusive education which is a vital component of the new national education policy.
On the 75th year of Indian independence, let’s all work with our children to become ‘accessibility fighters’ and make inclusive education the reality to build a brighter future for all our citizens, he added.
According to the statement, NEP 2020 imagines education as a continuum without segmentation and focuses on making education more experience, holistic, integrated, building character, driven-driven, oriented to the invention, centered on students, based on discussion, flexible, and above all, more fun.
With this perspective, the Ministry of Education and School Literacy has taken many initiatives at all levels of school education and have reached 62 main milestones which will eventually change the school education sector.
