Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty who visited the Sainik School in Kazhakuttom has offered all the assistance from the state government to overcome the current crisis.
Employees, including teachers are on strike on the delay in salary.
This school faces acute fund shortages.
The minister said he would submit a report to the minister’s chairman at the steps that could be taken by the state government to help the Sainik School.
He has a discussion with school authorities, including the main principles and other staff members.
The school authorities told him that during the first LDF administration announced by the finance minister in the budget that the Memorandum of Understanding would be signed between the state and the central government to help the school of a sainik.
However, there are no further steps taken in this matter.
It is estimated that the school will require an annual fund of Rs 6 Crore from the State and employees providing a memorandum to the minister who seeks sanctions for this fund.
