Lucknow: Lucknow University Campus wears a quiet display on Friday with the majority of students emptying the hostel after the examination was suspended until January 31 because of the Covid-19 outbreak on campus.
As many as 30 Hostellers were quarantined at Hostel Mahmudabad, Habibullah and Lal Bahadur Shastri while around 20 other people were tested positively taking permission to leave the hostel with their guardians.
About 2,100 students live in 16 women’s hostels and boys on two university campuses.
Some other people who have not tested positively began to leave the hostel after taking antigen tests carried out by health officials at Lu’s request.
“We have quarantined about five students at Mahmudabad Boys Hostel, four in Habibullah and about 20 on Lal Bahadur Shastri Hostel.
It is ensured that every student gets food and medicine packages in their respective rooms,” said the head of Provost Nalini Pandey.
He said several male students were positive but the condition of who was not too serious had left the hostel while those from distant places would move once they got the ticket ordered or guard they came to pick him up.

I will leave the hostel in one or two days after I get a train ticket confirmed,” Vishal Singh said.
Other students Devika Mathur said his guardian came through a road from Chitrakoot on Saturday morning to pick him up.
