Ahmedabad: Starting today, AMC will encourage all food carts that sell non-vegetarian food and eggs from the main roads and public places, on the grounds that their sales in the open is to turn off complaints and “hurt religious sentiments”.
The chairman of the City Planning Committee in AMC, Devang Dani, said on Monday that the Ministry of Plantation officials had been ordered to eliminate egg and non-vegetarian food carts from the arterial route.
