Nagpur: C-60 Police Command Gadchiroli was shot more than eight Maoists during a sustainable meeting in the Kotgul-Gyarapapi forest in early Saturday.
The source said that almost one dozen rebel guerrilla fighters had suffered injuries during the fight.
SP Ankit Goyal said the fire exchange began at 6:30 a.m.
“Jawan was involved in the shooting of girns for the last few hours in deep forests.
We can confirm the amount of Maois which is neutralized only after the meeting,” said Goyal.
Sources in the police stated that the command had restored several arms and weapons and other ingredients from Maois from the meeting place.
Command is still looking for a place.
