San Salvador: El Salvador authorities on Tuesday found the body of a woman who had disappeared in March, a case that triggered a widespread social media campaign aimed at to be at an investigation.
Last month, the discovery of mass tombs at the home of a former police officer brought femicide problems to be focused in a 6.7 million Central American country, which recorded 70 female murders in 2020.
Flor Garcia has disappeared more than 100 days.
Then after leaving his house in Cojutepeque City, near the capital of San Salvador, to buy medical equipment for a dental clinic where he worked with a dentist’s husband.
Because it said his body was found near the Pan-American highway, close to where he disappeared.
The Attorney General said in a statement that it had started a criminal process against Garcia’s husband, Joel Valle, and ordered his arrest for allegedly participating in his departure and committing violence against women.
Nutrition, treated as his accomplice in the loss of Garcia, the statement was added.
Not found guilty and Reuters could not reach them to comment.
