Election Commission lifts 1,000 caps in physical daploies

New Delhi: Taking knowing the increasing Covid situation in five states of polls, the Sunday Door Election Commission shared with 1,000 people’s capitors for physical demonstrations and allowing them to hold up to 50% of the indoor space capacity and 30% capacity of open reasons.
However, the prohibition of roadshows, Padusyatras, cycles / bicycle / vehicle meetings and procession will remain, EC said in revised guidelines for safe campaigns for Covid.
Guidelines – revised four times in less than four weeks – issued by EC after consulting with the main secretary of the polls, special observers and health union health secretaries.
The EC said calculating local sidewalk easing in many countries including the reopening of the school, the short period remaining for poll campaigns and needs for the participation of political parties and larger candidates.
