Kathar / Valmikinagar: People’s representatives, including Mukhiyas and Sarpanch, have been declared elected in 24 Panchayats under the Baltrix and the Pranpur Block in Katihar District.
The results of the Pancrayat election held on Sunday were stated on Tuesday.
Nisa’s ant was chosen as a member of Zila Parishad from the Pranpur Block while Manju Devi was declared a winner for the Pancir Pancir Mukhiya Pranpur post.
Likewise, Raushan Kumar RAM (Barjhalla), Aasnara Bibi (Sahja), Mujahid Alam (Bastaul), Anita Devi (Dharhan), Anju Devi (Patharwar), Sheonarayan Sah (Kaathghar), Abdul Hannan (Well), Tanvir Ahmad (Lalganj North)), Julum Singh (Lalganj South) and Murshida Khatun (Kewala) under the Pranpur block was chosen as Mukhiya.
In Balrampur Block, Rehna (Kirora Panchayat), Viraj Kumar (Bijaul), Sanchita Das (Lattipur), Sukumar Rai (Singhaon), Noor Sahbaaz Kausar (Lohagada), Manoj Das (Mahisaal), Mujella Khatun (Sharuum), Shuru Alam ( Kamra) and Saheena Pravin (Balromba) were chosen for Mukhiya’s post.
Meanwhile, three Mukhiyas retained their seats in the West Chamaran district on Tuesday.
While Pannalal retained the Valmyakatagar seat after the vote count saw him winning with seven votes, Malti Devi was re-elected from Ramparwa-Lakshmipur.
Asha Devi from Nayagaon-Rampur Panchayat maintains a chair with a two-voice margin.
