PATIALA: Daaman Thind Bajwa, the rebel Congress who joined BJP a few days ago after he was rejected by a party ticket from Sunam, had begun to campaigning to a sad -BJP-plc election candidate from the chair and blame the president of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu for getting tickets to be canceled.
Daaman, who has called Congress Candidate from Sunam an outsider, on Wednesday claimed to have started a meeting with his supporters and focused his campaign against outsiders who competed in the Sunam assembly segment.
He said he was also looking for a voice for sad candidates (Sanyukt) Sanmukh Singh Mokha, which he described as a “land leader”.
“Congress candidate was Amargarh MLA’s nephew and had never entered Sunam before being announced as a party candidate.
I appealed to the masses not to choose candidates who only praised this election but lived in Chandigarh,” said Daaman.
After being rejected by a congressional ticket, Daaman had submitted his nomination as an independent candidate, but he then pulled him.
He joined BJP after the party’s poll campaign in charge of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat met him.
“President PPCC Navjot Singh Sidhu played a key role in making my ticket canceled at Congress when he managed to get a ticket for his nephew Singh from his nephew segment from Amargarh,” said Daaman, who had lost Sunam’s seat to AAP’s Safe Arora in 2017.
