Noida: Stabling path as high as 1.5km is being built at the Metro City Electronic Noida station so that it can function as a depot for the train.
Electronic city is the last station in the blue line in Noida.
Until now, there was only one platform used for traveling and down.
After passengers came from the Delhi side down at the station, the train moved forward and returned without taking U-turn.
Officials explained that once a stable line built, depots can be arranged in electronic cities for the train to park.
The second platform, which already exists, can then be used to travel in the other direction.
As many as 20 trains, officials said, can be accommodated on a stable path at a time and there will be five tracks that are elevated.
Until now, a similar depot at the level was elevated only at Shaheen Bagh Station.
Officials say the track for a stable line in electronic cities has been placed and civil works too, are on the verge of completion.
The line is likely to operate at the end of March next year.
“This is not a traditional depot, but the extension of the track so that the train can be parked for a while and reversed for another trip.
It will make care more easily in the blue line and help reduce the burden of the Yamuna Bank station, where the train now stops for maintenance, “said a spokesman for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Warehouse of 200 meters PEB (pre-engineered building) was also built for the stopped train.
The City Electronic Metro Station serves several important industrial and institutional fields, such as Sector 61, 62 and 63.
It is also the closest metro station with Indirapuram in Ghaziabad.
Recently, DMRC has introduced an electric vehicle center at this station, with around 50 tricycles and charging points with 20 ports.
