KABUL: Islamabad must target a safe Taliban hideout along the border with Afghanistan, US defense secretary Lloyd Austin during his phone call with the Chief of Staff of Pakistani Army Javed Bajwa.
During the presser on Wednesday, the Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the Austin secretary believed that Havens was a major cause behind insecure and sustainable cruelty in Afghanistan, Afghanistan prospects reported.
This comes when Pakistan continues to deny support and provide a safe haven for Taliban fighters.
The Afghan government has accused his neighbors to fund and provide support to the Taliban.
The Secretary of the US Defense earlier this week held a telephone conversation with the Head of the Pakistani army and discussed a sustainable situation in Afghanistan where Taliban and Afghan troops were involved in violent clashes.
Austin and Bajwa discussed the reciprocal goal of security and stability in the region.
“Secretary of Austin and General Bajwa discussed ongoing situations in Afghanistan, regional security and stability, and bilateral defense relations wider,” read the statement.
With US withdrawal from Afghanistan on the threshold, Pakistan’s terrorist groups expanded the full support of the Taliban in recruiting terrorists for sustainable battles in a war-hit country to overthrow the current President and the Afghan government.
The United States is worried that the Taliban can capture Kabul in 1-3 months, much faster than suggested by the previous intelligence assessment.
A report published by the Washington Post stated that the situation in this country is now worse than in June when US intelligence predicts that Kabul can collapse in 6-12 months after withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
Federico Giuliani said, “The withdrawal of American troops finally revealed the true essence of the Afghan conflict – this was the Pakistan-Afghan hybrid war that Islamabad opposed the government and the Afghan community.” Giuliani stated that the Pakistani government needed a Taliban to solve strategic tasks and replace the Afghan government with politicians controlled by Islamabad.
