LONDON: The Australian Star All-rounder Ellyse Perry has come out of the first hundred season quoting personal reasons.
The 30-year-old child is set to appear for Birmingham Phoenix in the 100 ball tournament scheduled to take place on July 21.
“We were clearly very disappointed because Ellyse Perry had to withdraw from a hundred due to personal circumstances, but we fully understood the decision and said the best,” Beth Barrett-Wild, the head of the female competition, quoted with ‘espncricinfo’.
The withdrawal came as a blow to Phoenix who was without Sophie Devine New Zealand’s services, who had left the tournament last month.
Perry’s colleagues, Alyssa Healy, Meg Lanning and Rachael Haynes have also come out of hundreds in front of their home series against India, which began on September 19.
As many as five Indian women’s crickets, including the sensation of Shafali Verma and T20 teenagers have registered with a different team for a hundred.
One hundred women will conclude on August 21.
