The CEO of Apple Tim Cook in the past has praised what Tesla did and said that she admired the CEO of Elon Musk.
Musk, who is known for his candid’s view, hasn’t really taken serious excavation on Apple.
It arrived yesterday when during the quarterly income Tesla called when Musk took Jab on Apple not once but twice.
According to a report by CNBC, Musk during a call said that there was a misunderstanding of Tesla using Cobalt, something used in producing ion cells used in smartphones and electric cars.
Musk said, “Apple uses I think almost 100% cobalt in batteries and their phones and laptops, but Tesla does not use cobalt in iron-phosphate packages, and almost nothing in nickel-based chemistry.” He further explained that, “At the basis of the weighted average we can use 2% cobalt compared to saying, 100% Apple cobalt.” This is clearly an excavation of environmental sustainability which according to Apple is far more than other companies.
This is not the first time Apple must face criticism of the use of cobalt.
Two years ago, the company was accused of assisting and conspiring with forced child labor at the Kobalt mine.
Apple has said that the long-term goal is that it does not require any mining by using recycled material.
Musk also said that Tesla wanted to support the arrival of sustainable energy but did not want to build a “walled garden.” He told investors, “I think we want to emphasize that our goal is to support the arrival of sustainable energy.
This is not to make a walled park and use it to shine our competitors used by several companies.” It is a blatant excavation in Apple and Musk did not hide when he was fake cough and said “Apple” after his comments on the park wall.
