Tesla is ready to introduce a full self-driving package, also called the FSD package, to the car this week.
The beta version of the software has been pushed out to the selected user.
Tesla owners who have paid for controversial software can request FSD beta software and will be given access based on their driving behavior.
“The beta button will ask permission to assess the driving behavior using the Tesla insurance calculator.
If driving behavior is good for 7 days, beta access will be given.” Elon Musk answered to Twitter users.
Although Tesla has characterized even the latest version of the Beta FSD feature as a level 2 driver assistance system, the video posted by testers shows a car driving on the streets without human intervention.
Elon Musk has promised a FSD package for Tesla buyers for at least six months.
“Build 8.3 of the FSD must be tested for the QA at the end of next week, so it is roughly when the download button will appear [SIC],” Musk said in March.
The FSD package is available as an option for Tesla buyers for some time.
The package price continues to increase because the new function is inserted.
The FSD package includes the active guide system, ‘navigation on the autopilot feature’, the parking feature called ‘Summon’ and many other features that Tesla’s standard not owned.
Musk has a bad reputation when it comes to following the promised deadline.
However, this time it is expected that Tesla CEO will not subdue its fans when the latest announcement looks pretty promising and also mentioned by the Tesla Board member Hiromichi Mizuno.
In July, Tesla also launched an FSD subscription package for $ 199 per month.
Electric vehicle manufacturers aim to provide the correct level 5 driver help system.
