Kolkata: The government of Bengal on Sunday format 61 teachers with Shiksha Ratna Samman on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
The award was given in recognition of services and extraordinary contributions in the field of education.
Among the recipients is Dominic Savio’s father, Principal, St.
Xavier’s College.
Father Savio said, “This award is actually in honor of the institution and all relating to St.
Xavier’s College, Kolkata, such as Jesuit priests, staff, students, alumni, parents and sympathizers.
This has given recognition to the high standards of academics chased at here and the value of high social commitment, institutions include among students and alumni.
This award is undoubtedly, giving us a boost to do more.
“He also said that this recognition would encourage them to build a new college campus from EM Bypass, which will be the center of communication study and research facilities integrated on campus.
The winner of the Bengal National Teacher’s award this year, Hariswami DAS, head teacher, at Sovanagar High School at the British Bazar Malda was also given by the state.
The watersheds not only have the upside down dropout rates but have increased school registration by successfully renovating and increasing school infrastructure in children’s friendly ways.
DAS also involves a larger community in this school upgrade.
Ghanshyam Nepal, 63-year-old Nepalese professor at North Bengal University, also among the recipients of the Darjeeling District.
Nepal, who works now lives in Shivmandir in Siliguri has taught since 1982.
“I am very grateful to the NBU for giving me a chance.
I feel humble getting awards,” he said.
“I started my teaching profession in 1982, where I worked at school in Sikkim and then between 1983 to 1984, I taught at St Joseph’s college in Darjeeling.
Then in the same year I got the opportunity at Nabu as Professor Nepal,” Add it.
Nepalese daughter is also a senior academic.
Among the 61 academics ordered by the Minister of State Education Bratya Basu, Senior Minister Subrata Mukherjee and Sovandeb Chatttopadhyay, 21 is a professor of universities and universities, 15 are elementary school teachers and medium and higher secondary teachers.
Two of them are Madrassa teachers.
