Mumbai: This will be embarrassing for the state government if the villages do not receive ordinary drinking water even after 75 years of independence, observing the Bombay High Court on Thursday while asking for ensuring the village of Kamke in the Thane District accepts water to Ganeshotsav.
“We will send this order to the minister’s chairman.
If not, the name of this country will be polluted.
It’s a pity that after 75 years there is a petition like that.
We will send orders so that the state should not be humiliated further,” said Judicial bench Shahrukh Kathawalla and Millind Jadhav.
The petition, by the villagers, said they provided water twice a month for almost two hours.
They urged that the distribution of stem water and infra companies, a joint venture of Thane Zilla Parishad and Bhiwandi Nizampur City Corporation, directed to supply water every day.
They accused the supply of water stems illegally to political leaders and the tanker lobby.
Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni assures the solution will be found for regular supply and elimination of illegal water connections.
He said the stem md baahebeb dangde and the team will write a plan.
But the judges requested that a committee be formed with Commissioner of BMC Iqbal Chahal and the Suresh Kakani commissioner additional to wear plans.
Advocates Applicant R D Suryawanshi urges at least 10 water tankers sent for Ganeshotsav.
