Emergency cases up more than 10% during Diwali: Report

Ahmedabad: Emergency cases, including burns, up more than 10% for three days of Diwali celebrations in Gujarat compared to normal days, according to a report released on Sundays.

According to the report, burns of burns witnessed an increase of 185% (20 cases) in Diwali, 129% (16 cases) in Gujarati’s new year, and 157% (18 cases) in Bhai DOOJ, compared to normal days when seven Such cases are reported on average.

Compared to normal days, non-vehicle trauma (including injury due to burns, falling and physical attacks) witnessed the increase in Diwali, New Year and Bhai DOOJ with almost 36.6% (403 cases), 78.3% (526 cases ), and 2526%), and 25.42% (1,299 cases), respectively, compared to those reported in normal days, show analysis.
While the number of cases of emergency sees up, it is not as high as an approximate by the agency.
Compared to the overall estimate of 13,440 cases for three days of celebration, the actual amount was limited to 11,756, or 12.5% ​​lower, the report said.
