Paris: English teenager Emma Raducanu rose 127 second place in the world on Monday after her amazing victory in the US Open.
The 18-year-old became the first player to emerge from the qualification to win the grand slam tournament when he beat another teenager, Canada Leylah Fernandez, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3.
Fernandez was valued for his part to the final by going up 45 places until 28.
Former world number one Naomi Osaka, who blamed Fernandez on his way to the final and said he was a break from tennis, down to fifth place.
Bianca Andreescu, the US Open winner two years ago, fell 13 places until 20 after he was eliminated in the fourth round of this year’s tournament.
Cori Gauff, the 17-year-old American, moved to the top 20 in 19th place.
