Emmy-nominee Michael K Williams, who plays Omar’s little character in the TV series “The Wire”, was found dead in his new apartment on Monday, police said.
He is 54 years old.
Lieutenant John Grimpel, spokesman for the New York Police Department, said Williams was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment after 2pm (1800 GMT) calls to the emergency operator.
Williams, who received the Nomination of Emmy 2021 for his appearance in the Lovecraft HBO country, also found fame for his role in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.
