Employ Nag River Treatment plan at First: HC

Nagpur: Expressing concern within unabated contamination in Nag River despite the continued requests, the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court on Monday slammed civic government for neglect.
Quoting a variety of media reports that emphasized how garbage remains gathered and sewage water leaks in the river and the town was called the court called on the police to execute its own rejuvenation strategy in the earliest.
A division bench comprising justices Sunil Shukre along with Anil Kilor also led that the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to apply all details to your lake’s revised rejuvenation strategy within a couple of weeks.

Before, NMC counselor Sudhir Puranik advised about revised Development Project Report (DPR) of this river, in which Rs2,400 crore will be spent for the rejuvenation.
It could be washed in four stages and could be given a fresh lease of existence.
The first stage would entail its own cutting and cleaning, followed by farm work on its own boundaries.
Elimination of enormous encroachments within it could be consumed within another stage.
The seat then requested Puranik in case NMC has enough budget to execute the DPR and out of where capital could be increased, if it is in fiscal limitations.
Many media reports have emphasized the dirt and slush flows throughout the river, that flows out of Central Telegraph Office’s (CTO) backside and adjoining to Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC).
Since it has not been washed in quite a while, foul odor comes from it makes life hard for the neighboring residents.
