Encourage government employees to use a handloom: cm

Chennai: Head of Minister Tamil Nadu M Stalin on Tuesday said government employees must be encouraged to wear handloom dresses every week to promote handloom products.
CM chaired reviews with the Minister of Handloom and Textile R Gandhi and officials at the Secretariat.
He asked them to promote handloom clothes to a higher income group.
Officials have asked CO-OPTEX to adopt new technologies to produce new designs for all age groups, especially the younger generation, and promote products among high-income groups to increase income to help the community.
CM asks officers to make efforts to build a brand for the product.
In Khadi products, Stalin asked the authorities to adopt an aggressive marketing strategy and install exhibitions in college, trade centers and commercial companies and install kiosks in supermarkets and shopping centers.
CM requests officials to develop applications to promote products on social media platforms.
