Lucknow: Repeating its government’s promise to double the income of farmers, Chairman of Yogi Adityanath minister on Thursday said there was a need to focus on organic agriculture in addition to improving transportation and storage facilities for agricultural products.
During the reviews of ‘Independent Farmers’ Integration Development Scheme’, CM said officials must ensure that the target to prepare organizations produces farmers (FPO) in each block of development is fulfilled.
Cooler storage formation and the use of technology in agriculture will also increase income from agriculture, he said.
CM also reviews the slum rehabilitation policies (draft) -2021 and said the government is committed to ensuring the ease of life to the residents of slums by ensuring basic facilities and sanitation for them.
CM directing officials to determine the specific definition of the word ‘slum’ and then connect the beneficiaries to the government scheme.
He said that the family definition for residents of slums must also be reworked so that successful slum rehabilitation models are regulated.
