Osmanabad: Police on Wednesday arrested the land of Mafia Kingpin, who had run since the last eight days, in connection with the case of land deprivation in the Osmanabad Maharashtra district, an official said.
A special police squad from Osmanabad arrested Devanand Rochkari, who had a case of land deprivation, money loans, threatening, and other illegal activities, in Mumbai, Deputy Supervisor of Raja Roushan police.
Cases of forgery and cheating were registered against Rochkari and his brother at the Tuljapur police station because of alleged encroachment in the land of Mankawati Tirth Kund, an ancient temple, on Tuesday.
Collector of Kaustub District Divegaokar previously ordered the registration of a criminal case against Rochkari brothers for allegedly reaching land, which was included in the Tuljapur City Council, by establishing documents and carrying out illegal construction there.
