Patna: Election Commission has clarified that model behavior codes will apply to all electoral activities even if they are organized outside the assembly constituency but within the boundaries of the district concerned.
The commission, in a new direction issued on Thursday, asked the district election officers to enforce all instructions related to the model of model behavior, Covid and candidate expenditures in the case of selection activities held outside the electoral district but in the district.
The direction assumed the significance after a claim that would be held at Tarapur and Kusheshwar Asthan Assembly Chair on October 30.
The district election officer concerned has been asked to implement EC guidelines under each other’s jurisdiction.
The Director of Joint General Election Commission (Media) Anuj Chandak said fresh guidelines must be applied to the election to be elected by the election.
“The violation of EC guidelines will invite firm action,” he added.
Meanwhile, elections in two assembly constituencies – Tarapur in Munger and Kusheshwar Asthan in Darbhanga District – have gained momentum.
Leading leaders of national and regional political parties have begun to visit the constituency to seduce voters for each candidate.
Overall 17 candidates were in Fray in two constituencies.
