Muraleedharan said the government maintained close contact with Indians in Canada, and its policy was to make sustainable efforts to strengthen bata with the community.
For separate questions, he said there was no promise or commitment made by India and Japan to spend USD 10 billion and funding patterns under public-private partnerships for the African Asia-African Growth Corridor.
Muraleedharan, referred to a statement with India-Japan 2017, said the prime ministries from the two countries welcomed efforts to explore the development of industrial corridors and industrial networks for Asian and African growth.
In a joint statement, he said two prime ministers expressed their strong commitment to work together to increase connectivity in India and with other countries in the Indo-Pacific region including Africa.
