LONDON: Harry Kane hopes that England will be the Top Euro 2020 weapon in Sunday’s final against Italy after receiving a message of support from Hollywood Actor Tom Cruise.
The England captain Kane will lead his country in their first main final for 55 years.
Towards a historic dispute at Wembley, Kane revealed Gareth Southgate’s troops had an unexpected call of the “top pistol” and “Mission Impossible” Cruise, who was in London on Saturday for the Wimbledon women’s final.
“Obviously we have had former players and people contact,” Kane said to the BBC.
“We really have Tom Cruise to call last night, you get everyone who likes football.” “We were lucky enough to have a watch one of his films so I thought he was here in England and he had just twisted and screwed us just to say the best as a group so it was good from him,” Kane added.
“I’m not sure if he will be there in the final or not but soccer is a big part of the world and happy to have support from all kinds of different businesses.”
