LONDON: Initial English response to the Pandemic Covid-19 Pandemic “as one of the most important public health failures ever experienced by Britain,” Parliamentary investigations have found, blaming the British government for “thousands of deaths that can be avoided.” The government, basically, pursues The strategy of unknown immunity when failing to carry out widespread testing and delay locking, social blasphemy or border control in the early months of the pandemic, according to a report on Tuesday by two parliamentary committees.
After stumbling early, England raced in the spring as one of the world leaders at the vaccination rate; 78.6% of people aged 12 years and over now have received two doses of covid vaccine.
But the first major investigation of the British Pandemic response – quoted a lot of step errors by the government since the first Coronavirus case was detected in the UK in January 2020.
The initial response, the “Groupthink” product among the high-ranking officials in Boris Johnson PMS and his scientific advisor, failed to consider or act on aggressive detention, testing and search strategies, the report said.
It was only at the end of March 2020, with a doubling infection every three days and the national health system was at risk of being overwhelmed, that Johnson reversed the course and ordered full locking.
“The loss of time is to prove fatal for many people,” the report concluded.
Requests found that the government’s decision did not order locking or conducting a broad search of contact partly due to the assumption by the scientific advisor that the British public would not accept these limits.
The trust is based on limited evidence and it turns out wrong, because people generally meet locking steps, the report said.
The UK has experienced one of the worst Covid outbreaks among wealthy nations, with more than 137,000 people died of Covid.
Questions did praise certain aspects of the British pandemic handling, especially investment initially in vaccine research, including support for Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines which have become one of the most managed in the world.
The government’s decision to overcome the interval between vaccine doses to enable as many people as possible to get one shot is “firm and brave,” and “significantly increases the speed of protection for the British population,” said the report.
Report findings do not require the government to act, but can help form a public debate ahead of a full public investigation of the promised pandemic response by Johnson in 2022.
