LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he had held a G7 leader meeting on Tuesday to discuss the crisis in Afghanistan and urged the international community to find ways to prevent it from increasing.
The Western government is discussing how to deal with the situation in Kabul where thousands of desperate civilians to escape from Afghanistan have come down at the airport.
“It is very important that the international community works together to ensure safe evacuation, prevent the humanitarian crisis and support the Afghans to secure the increase in the last 20 years,” Johnson said on Twitter on Sunday.
The UK currently holds the leadership of spinning G7, which also includes the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Canada.
