England Lewis Gregory was grateful for the knowledge of PSL against Pakistan

CARDIFF: Lewis Gregory enjoyed the opportunity to use ‘knowledge of people’ from Pakistan Cricket after being handed over a surprise call by the UK for the ongoing international series of international series.
Covid outbreaks in the English camp meant the squad that was originally chosen for the contest three matches was all forced to isolate myself, with Chief coach Chris Silverwood had to assemble a party of 18-person who was completely new a few days before the first Odi on Thursday at Cardiff.
But apart from the World 50-Over champion, England still struggled Pakistan with nine-goal, with only 67.1 from the scheduled 100 match schedule.
Somerset All-Rounder Gregory, one of five players in the UK XI who made their ODI debut, played his role with a slight 1-11 in four overs after being given a new ball who saw him dismissing Mohammad Rizwan who was dangerous.
But his surprise returned to the international task to subside the touch of Gregory against the opponent who was familiar, after playing for Islamabad United at the Pakistani Super League T20 tournament this year.
“Knowing who you play and their strengths and weaknesses help, have experience at PSL extraordinary,” Gregory told reporters on Friday.
“They have some fantastic Cricketers in Pakistan.
To be able to play against them before and know who you are opposed to give you a little encouragement.
May we be able to practice it.” England, under the captain Pas – again Ben Stokes, may have deployed a new side, but their players did have the benefit of brightened brightness from playing domestic T20.
Pakistan, on the contrary, was limited to an intra-squad training match after quarantine after their arrival in England, with both such matches was thwarted by rain in the derby.
But Gregory said it was wrong to consider England, which was right above in Sophia Gardens since Saqib Mahmood took the goal with the first ball of the match, had won because Pakistan was being carried out.
“This is definitely not the best preparation,” he accepted it.
“But they (Pakistan) clearly played cricket, they had released a delayed PSL – I didn’t think they had come out a few cold months (relaxed) back home.” It’s not easy to quarantine, I’ve been there, do that, it’s not a good thing to go through but we play very well.
“The series continues in Lord’s this weekend and the 29-year-old player, who also represents England in eight T20s, added:” This is a different condition than usual, but I fully expect them to return and rebound quickly and put us on under pressure on Saturday.
“Stay uncertain whether the UK stand-in will be maintained for the next T20 series against Pakistan.
But Gregory is determined to take advantage of the opportunity.
The Saturday match at Cricket’s house will take place in front of the capacity crowd – the first British cricket has seen since the pandemic.” Every time you play In God it is extraordinary and to do that in front of a full house will be special, “Gregory said.” It’s been a long time playing in front of anyone, so it will be extraordinary.
I can’t wait to be there and see how special it is.
