LONDON: The UK recorded 39,906 new Koronavirus infections on Thursday, down from 44.104 the day before, and 84 deaths, up from 73 reported the day before, official data showed.
Daily positive cases have increased widely in the UK for a month but a rapid vaccination program seems to have weakened the relationship between infection and death, with the daily death remains at a relatively low level.
Data also shows that 46.43 million people have the first dose of vaccines and 36.59 million have two.
