LONDON: England will abolish Covid-19 mandatory tests for all vaccinated tourists who fully return to the country at the end of January, the time reported on Sunday, quoted a source close to the British transport secretary.
“We are looking at removing all Covid tests for vaccinated travelers at the end of January, which is likely to coincide with the review of step B steps on January 26,” the source said, as quoted by the media.
According to the newspaper, this step will help the British family to save hundreds of pounds and will provide encouragement for the recovery of the tourism industry.
In addition to the elimination of PCR tests for people who are fully vaccinated, the minister intends to eliminate other limits, especially obliged to wear facial masks in shops and public transportation.
England face a surge in Covid-19 case before Christmas.
On December 7, the authorities introduced the requirements for a negative Covid-19 test for everyone for 12 entering the country in the midst of the spread of new omicron strains.
