LONDON: British forces will end the evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan on Saturday, said the head of the Armed Forces General Nick Carter.
“We reach the end of the evacuation, which will take place during today.
And then need to bring our troops on the remaining plane,” he told the BBC.
“We have not been able to remove everyone, and it has broken the heart.
And there are some very challenging assessments that must be made on the ground”, he said.
