England tour helps me evolve as a player: prasidh krishna

Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Prasidh Krishna has undergone a dream since March this year.
The Wily Pacer made ODI debut against England where he took four goals in Indian 66-run victory.
The 25-year-old took a giant step on Friday to get a test cap when he was named in the Indian squad for the house series against New Zealand this month.
Prasidh has been on the radar of the Indian test squad since it was added to the team ahead of the fourth test against England in the Oval in London in September after being alert.
He has traveled and practiced with a team during a British tour.
Also, he has become a standby player since the final of the world test championship.
Prasidh, which made first class debut for Karnataka in 2015 was very happy to be part of the squad.
Speaking to Toi on Friday before leaving the Karnataka team in New Delhi, said Prasidh, “I was very grateful for the opportunity because it gave me another chance to rub the shoulder greatly, learn from them and add to my expertise.” Prasidh believes the time spent with the team in the UK has helped him evolve into a better player.
“The tour was very helpful for me because bowling in England needed different work ethics and it was a good platform to be learned.
I believe that the tour gave me a lot of self-confidence and also helped me evaluate the level of what I was and set a vision of how I wanted my career Exit in the future.
“Time in England also helped prasidh work on his shortcomings.
“This helps me polish the skills and work on my consistency.
To play at that level, we need a factor of X and I do it.
It also taught me how to handle pressure,” he added.
With Stalwart Batting India Rahul Dravid took control of Ravi Shastri, Prasidh believed he was in another learning experience.
“I have interacted widely with Rahul Sir for me with an Indian ‘A’ squad and at the National Cricket Academy.
He is someone who is always Calm and pressure never shows him.
This is among many aspects of the game we can learn from it.
So, I’m looking for to go to this important learning curve in my career, “he said.
