The England All-Rounder Livingstone has shaken a finger injury supported by a warm-up match against India ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup, said Captain Eoin Morgan on Tuesday.
Livingstone left the field with a small finger in his left hand swollen after he dropped the catch in Midwicket in the defeat of the seven England goal by India on Monday.
“Liam is fine and is fully fit,” Morgan told reporters.
“There is no other problem so far, touch wood.” Livingstone was named after the Chris Silverwood coach squad for the World Cup as a substitute for Ben Stokes, who had taken an unlimited break from the cricket to focus on his mental health while also recovering from the second operation on the finger.
England faced New Zealand in their last warm-up match on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi before starting their World Cup campaign against West Indies defense champions in Dubai on Saturday.
Morgan said he was impressed with Moeen Ali who scored 33 unbeaten balls from India against India.
“Moeen is in good condition.
He has been in a big form in the Indian Premier League and yesterday he showed big trust on the goal,” Morgan said.
“You have to say in his form, he is a good player that we can use at every stage of the tournament.”
